They say Georgia is the Peach State because of the importance of peaches to the Georgia agricultural economy. I hate Georgia.
During a recent trip to Nashville, my wife and I found a pop flavor that wasn’t available in Chicago: Fanta Peach. According to the Fanta flavor chart, that leaves Black Cherry and Apple as the only U.S. Fanta flavors I have not yet tasted (see previous reviews for Strawberry, Orange, Pineapple, Grape, and Citrus).
I found this flavor as we were filling up our car with gas at a station in downtown Nashville. It was a hot day, so I was hoping that the flavor was very thirst quenching. It wasn’t. Granted, I’m not a big fan of peach-flavorings in general. This isn’t the worst tasting Fanta (that’s Grape), but it’s probably not the best either (gotta be Citrus).
The scent upon opening is very fruity. The flavor of the drink itself can only be described as “very peachy.” It didn’t taste overly fake, but it wasn’t very authentic either. The aftertaste is strong… which is great if you like peach flavoring. Overall, it was a different taste for a change, but one that I probably wouldn’t get again if given the choice.
