Review: Jones Soda Corn On The Cob Soda (2005)

What if a Jones Soda flavor actually tasted like what was advertised on the label? Would the space time continuum collapse? Probably not, but that seemed to be the case with Jones Corn on the Cob Soda.
Unlike Turkey & Gravy, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Herb Stuffing, Smoked Salmon Paté, Turkey & Gravy (again!), Brussels Sprout, and Broccoli Casserole Soda flavors, Corn on the Cob had a resemblance to corn. And lots and lots of salt.
But instead of tasting like a nice pat of butter on top of a freshly picked stalk of corn, the resemblance was more to microwave caramel corn! Well, I guess you can't win them all!
At our tasting, Andy and Cari scientifically compared the taste of the Jones Corn on the Cob Soda against the Orville Redenbacher Carmel Corn we had available. Either Jones Soda or Orville did their homework on the flavor. In any case, however, I don't think this is a flavor that was meant to be partaken from a bottle.
Overall, the flavor wasn't a complete loss, but it wasn't much of a winner either. I personally found the high sodium content to be the negative with this drink.
