Last May, I was in Bulgaria and had their version of Fanta. It was much better than Polish Fanta, which is one of the lower quality varieties of Fanta out there. The ingredients in Polish Fanta are pretty nasty, including one that is mostly used in printing presses and one that is used mostly in laxatives and stool softeners. There are some other things, like artificial flavors, red 40, and high fructose corn syrup that many other countries don't have in their Fanta. This is probably why the Polish variety has a bitter, chemical aftertaste.

When I had orange Fanta in Japan in January, it was this color (and delicious), and didn't taste at all like the heavy, really syrupy stuff that orange soda has become here in the US.

I didn't see any reviews of Japanese Fanta, so I thought you might appreciate knowing this.

Having tasted it in Poland, it tastes closer to Orangina than what we sell as Fanta here. Also, the second to last picture says "Drink this Fanta! Be a !" I'm also a fan of the Lift series of fruit sodas.
