When PepsiCo relaunched their lemon lime soft drink line by dropping Slice and launching Sierra Mist in 2000, they lost one component that the former brought to the table… fruit flavor variety, such as orange, apple, and strawberry. To many, Orange Slice was a pretty decent, mainstream soft drink. But it is no more.

According to a recent discovery, however, that may not be the case for long. On December 4, 2007, two filings were made with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect the names of Sierra Mist Undercover Orange and Sierra Mist Free Undercover Orange. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that these are orange-flavored soft drinks.
No estimate on when these drinks might be tested or appear in the marketplace.
