Now they've completely redesigned the Diet Pepsi Max label again, completely stripping it of its identity and eliminating the midnight blue in favor of a minimalist black/red/silver design. Each new design has been worse than its predecessor, in my opinion. The original design was my favorite—it looked like a can of men's shave gel. Ditching the midnight blue was the biggest mistake; color influences taste perception, and although the formulation is the same, Pepsi Max in the new black and red label tastes different to me.

Original branding of product much more sophisticated. Typographic treatment of MAX very clumsy and amateurish.
