I'm from Southern California.
I saw a company at Henry's called ICEBOX Water that sells water in a box. The water is arctic spring water from Norway. Great tasting!
I would recommend to anyone wanting to try this type of product
The water is also available at other markets they are listed on their website www.iceboxwater.com

Boxed water? That sounds so cute.
The water here in Rockland is DISGUSTING. It's the worse water ever. It tastes like MOLD.
So I filter it through an old filter because I don't have enough for a new pitcher. So boxed water sounds kind of good.

I like tap water but I have purchased Biota "corn" water. It's water but the bottle is made from biodegradable corn husks. Where did you even find this?

Boxed water wouldn't eliminate all of the waste caused by transporting it across the country.

There would be one advantage to this: if the container gets hot, it will probably taste the same, unlike bottled water, which gets a plasticy taste.

I love the simplistic look of the box. I would love to get a hold of a box but it seems it's only available in Michigan right now. I wonder when they will expand to the rest of the United States. Hopefully soon.

Faddish at best, the box neglects to indicate how much bleaching agent and ink toxins it uses, and have you ever lived near a paper mill? Not very eco-anything. It's claims fall under "Man-Bear-Pig" just like electric hybrid cars simply move the pollution out-of-sight, out-of-mind with coal-burning electric powerplants creating acid-rain over vast areas and battery-filled landfills.

Shrug. Convenience isn't eco-friendly. Boil rainwater with a solar setup filtered through lava-rocks if you're that concerned, then ride a pedal-bike to work. Nice try but sneaky advertising to the eager uneducated.
