After our detailed look at Jones GABA Fuji Apple Tea Juice, it was time to move on to another flavor in the GABA lineup, Jones GABA Nectarine Tea Juice. For a look at the history and background on this series of drinks, see our Jones GABA overview.
Like the rest of the non-carbonated Jones GABA Fuji Apple Tea Juice, Jones GABA Lemon Honey, and Jones GABA Grapefruit — Jones GABA Nectarine Tea Juice comes packaged in a tall 12 oz. can with an attractive package design, emphasized by a white and orange color scheme.
I must say the flavor isn’t something I’ve experienced before, and frankly, that was refreshing. Upon opening the can, you are greeted with a light, peach scent… completely different from a bubby, artificial ambiance found in beverages like Fanta Peach. The color of the drink is foggy orange, more on the translucent side.
The taste is mellow, smooth, and not edgy… starting with a nectarine flavor in the beginning, leveling off with an infusion of light tea, and balancing out in the finish with a clean aftertaste. Unlike Jones Soda soft drinks, this is not an overpowering flavor, but rather something with a even-handed, neutral palette.
