Samuel L. Jackson in Star Wars. Yup, that’s what Episode 1 brought us. Whether it was good or bad is up for you to decide. Nevertheless, it also earned Mr. Jackson a place on a Mountain Dew can, #11 Mace Windu. Hey, he’s got a purple lightsaber, how bad could it be?

During the 1999 promotion, there were 8 different Mountain Dew cans represented (not including bonus versions). We’ve already taken a look at the first two, #9 Darth Maul and #10 Jar Jar Binks. Hmm, what sort of pattern are we seeing with these Dew cans? “Characters who turn out to be really stupid?”

Here’s the official bio on this can:

It’s just funny to look at the green can and see Mace Windu’s pensive stare… just sitting there. It just seems like such an odd juxtaposition!

“You’re referring to the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to the Force. You believe it’s this can of Mountain Dew?”
