Coming Soon: Pepsi Next Paradise Mango & Pepsi Next Cherry Vanilla

As we previously noted back in March in our Pepsi Next review, PepsiCo had applied for trademark on Pepsi Next Paradise Mango as a possible flavor extension (#85550914, filed February 2, 2012)..

Well, that flavor, along with Pepsi Next Cherry Vanilla, are slated to appear this month, as they waste no time pushing the new brand.

Per the Pepsi website, it seems these new flavors will be available in 12 oz cans as well as 20 oz bottles.

Pepsi Next Paradise Mango

Pepsi Next Paradise Mango

Pepsi Next Paradise Mango contains 100 calories in a 20 oz bottle, with 100 mg sodium and 26 g carbs (26 g sugars), while a 12 oz can contains 60 calories, 60 mg sodium, and 16 g carbs (15 g sugars). Curiously, caffeine content is less than Pepsi Next, with Paradise Mango having 3.2 mg/oz vs. 3.5 mg/oz.

Like flagship Pepsi Next, Paradise Mango uses 4 sweeteners: high fructose corn syrup, acesulfame potassium, aspartame, and sucralose. Aspartame makes up the largest portion of artificial sweeteners.

Ingredients: Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, sugar, natural flavor, phosphoric acid, sodium citrate, caffeine, potassium sorbate (preserves freshness), aspartame, citric acid, acesulfame potassium, sucralose

We haven't tasted these new drinks yet, but we'll have reviews available as soon as we track them down.

Comments

  1. The Mango doesn't sound good at all. But I liked the regular Cherry Vanilla so the Next might have a decent taste,

  2. Zachary Jacob Zblewski says:

Paradise Mango sounds like a love it or hate it thing. I liked all the flavors of Diet Pepsi Jazz, as well as Holiday Spice Pepsi, so I think I will like it.

  3. Could these designs be any less inspiring. With a name and flavor like Paradise Mango, you better give potential consumers a reason, visually, to pick this product up and persuade them to try it. I understand they're building a consistent system and product line but there are a number of ways they could set up a hierarchy that allowed for flexibility and flavor appeal. This just feels so rudimentary from a company that doesn't have the the traditional, iconic and classic look that Coca-cola does. Pepsi should use their new age look to their advantage, instead of playing a game consisting of traditional norms.

  4. B-Rizzle says:

    Cherry Vanilla sounds really interesting.

  5. Zachary Jacob Zblewski says:

Tried both. I love them. Paradise Mango reminds me of the old Pepsi Summer Mix. I hope they both stick around.

  6. Oh boy. A flavor extension of the drink with 4 poisonous sweeteners. Thanks, but no thanks, Pespi.

  7. Tried both today, Cherry Vanilla tastes better to me. I'm not sure what I think of Paradise Mango.

  8. Ken Tappen says:

I had my first Pepsi next mango, and it is amazing!!! I'm sold, new soda.

  9. I made a mistake not pepsi max cherry vanilla I love it's cherry vanilla Pepsi Next. That's the one I can't find that was out for a limited time and I can't get it now and I want it to be permanent and not just for a limited time. Please bring it back…Please, Please!! Thanks, DC

  10. The Paradise Mango rocks! Love this stuff. Haven't tried the Cherry Vanilla, but I'm sure it's also great. Love the reduced calories, too.
