Can Holiday: Public Sleeping Day – February 28

How to Celebrate

Celebrating Public Sleeping Day is easy. All you have to do to honor this day is to take a nap anywhere outside of your home. The more public the area, the better. You might want to try public transportation (plane, bus, train, subway) or a park bench or the beach (if you are in a warm climate). If you are an EPS, an Extreme Public Sleeper, you can celebrate by sleeping at work. Whatever you do, just don’t celebrate while driving a vehicle or when operating heavy machinery.

To honor this day we are featuring the 1986 Cherry Coca-Cola “15 Years of Walt Disney World” Sleepy can. On it we see a very tired Sleepy. Sleepy is one of the seven dwarfs in Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs film. He is named “Sleepy” because he is always tired and is a proud supporter of Public Sleeping Day, as he celebrates it every day of the year.

Happy Public Sleeping Day (2/28)!
