Can Holiday: Fairy Day – June 24

Origin

Unknown.  Fairies are mythical creatures described as being human in appearance and having magical powers. Some famous fairies are the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio, Flora (Red Fairy), Fauna (Green Fairy) and Merryweather (Blue Fairy) from Sleeping Beauty, Fairy Godmother from Cinderella, Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, and the Tooth Fairy. Fairy Day is a day to honor these fairies.

How to Celebrate

You can celebrate Fairy Day by dressing up like a fairy, losing a tooth and putting it under your pillow, or by watching any of the movies mentioned above.

The Can

1986 Diet Coke Tinker Bell Can

1986 Diet Coke Tinker Bell Can

To celebrate this day, we selected the 1986 Diet Coke Tinker Bell Can from the 15 Years of Walt Disney World set.  On this can we see Tinker Bell from Disney's Peter Pan.  Below her are the words, "Tinker Bell – Devoted companion of Peter Pan, this flickering little fairy holds the secret of lifting children's spirits in the palm of her hand – Pixie Dust that enables them to fly to the enchanted Never Land."  At the bottom of the can is the 15 Years of Walt Disney World logo.

Happy Fairy Day (6/24)!

Comments

  1. Is this Tinkerbell's preferred beverage?

  2. I bet her pixie dust is made from the same secret formula used in Diet Coke.
