Can Holiday: Camera Day – June 29

Origin

Unknown. Cameras date back to the fifth century B. C., China with philosopher Mo Ti noting that a pinhole can form an inverted and focused image, when light passes through the hole and into a dark area. Mo Ti actually proved his theory when he did this and traced the image, creating a picture.

How to Celebrate

You can celebrate Camera Day by taking photos with a camera. With digital photography, you can take thousands of photos for free. Before digital, we all took far fewer photos as it became costly to get film developed or it was time consuming if you had your own dark room.
