World UFO Day began in 2001 to celebrate and raise awareness about the existence of Unidentified Flying Objects. It is also a day "used to encourage governments to declassify their knowledge about sightings throughout the history."
How to Celebrate
You can celebrate World UFO Day by participating in a UFO party, watching UFO movies like E.T., television shows like X-Files, or TV miniseries like Steven Spielberg's Taken, starring Dakota Fanning.
To celebrate this day, we selected the 1984 Pepsi UFO Can, part of the "Hello Future" series from Germany. This is can 6 of 12 and shows a UFO sighting from the perspective of someone flying a spacecraft. Loosely translated the can reads:
Report No. 6
UFOs – ARE THERE REALLY?
Researchers to believe that stars are likely inhabited.
However, the space-time barrier between them and us is almost insurmountable.
It is therefore closer to explain UFOs by phenomena such as mirages, meteors and satellites.
