Can Holiday: Cow Appreciation Day – July 12

Origin

Unknown. Cows are under appreciated as they supply us with more than milk, hamburgers and leather. Cows also play a role in guitar strings, tennis racquet strings, vitamins, shampoo, plant food, wallpaper, plywood, felt, insulation, plaster, air filters, rubber, medicine, and chewing gum.

How to Celebrate

You can celebrate Cow Appreciation Day by avoiding the products above or to visit a cow on a farm. Some businesses have attached themselves to this holiday like Chick-fil-A who will give you a free meal if you dress like a cow at one of their restaurants.

To celebrate this day, we selected the 1990s Arizona Cowboy Style Chocolate Flavored Drink Can. The design has a Native American theme with brown cow spots at the top and bottom of the can. In the middle there is a circle with feathers that looks like a dream catcher with a cow standing in a pink field in front of a sun that looks like the Arizona logo.

Happy Cow Appreciation Day (7/12)!
