Peace Tea Sweet Lemon Tea is part of Monster Beverage’s packaged tea line, heavily inspired by the success of Arizona’s successful tea line. We’ve previously looked at Peace’s Razzleberry Tea, Caddy Shack Tea & Lemonade, and Pink Lemonade & Tea flavors.
As featured on the entire Peace Tea lineup, the package art is of note, usually portraying an element of the peace movement that ties into the specific flavor. For Sweet Lemon, the Berlin Wall is showcased in the artwork. The label also notes that inside you’ll find “100% natural tea”, “no artificial flavors”, “no preservatives”, and “no artificial colors”. However, that said, it should be noted that this can of Peace Tea is sweetened with both sugar and sucralose. Your mileage may vary when it comes to the phrase “natural,” I guess.
This drink is a light brown color, and features a slight tea scent, dominated by a lemon overtone. Like most Peace Tea products, the sweetness level is quite high, but unfortunately, the actual tea flavor is quote low. In this case, the flavor is dominated by the lemon taste, with only a mild tea experience. Even then, the mouthfeel is on the plastic-y side of things, with a notable artificialness.
Overall, Peace Tea Sweet Lemon Tea is an average, and in some ways, lackluster installment in the Peace Tea lineup. If you like sweet, you are set. However, should your preferences include actual tea flavor, look somewhere else.
