This year, we're getting Sprite Cranberry and Sprite Zero Cranberry. These are the first flavor extensions we've seen with Sprite since the last of the Remix releases (Sprite Remix Aruba Jam in 2005, preceded by Sprite Remix Berryclear in 2004 and Sprite Remix Tropical in 2003).

This drink is a limited time offering, arriving "mid-October and available through the New Year." Packaging includes 2-liters (for both regular and Zero), 12 oz cans (for both regular and Zero), and 20 oz bottles (for regular only).

Sprite Launches New Flavor to “Berry” up the Holidays

Popular lemon-lime beverage adds a refreshing cranberry flavor to its line-up for a limited time only

October 10, 2013 11:40 AM

ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–With a chill in the air and the holidays around the corner, people across the country are working up a thirst for the tastes of the season. This year, Sprite is doing its part to help make everything “berry” and bright with the introduction of an all-new flavor: Sprite Cranberry.

“Over the years, our fans have increasingly demanded Sprite with cranberry flavor, and we’re excited to give it to them with the crisp, clear, caffeine-free, naturally flavored taste they already love about Sprite.”
The new Sprite Cranberry and Sprite Zero Cranberry will be available for a limited time through the holidays. Both products take the refreshing taste of traditional Sprite and combines it with a splash of sweet and tart cranberry notes. It is the first flavor innovation from Sprite since Sprite Remix in 2005.

“We’re incorporating one of the most popular flavors of the season with the No. 1 lemon-lime brand to celebrate the holidays,” said Kim Paige, Associate Vice President, Sprite Brands, The Coca-Cola Company. “Over the years, our fans have increasingly demanded Sprite with cranberry flavor, and we’re excited to give it to them with the crisp, clear, caffeine-free, naturally flavored taste they already love about Sprite.”

Sprite Cranberry and Sprite Zero Cranberry are perfect as stand-alone beverages or mixed in specialty holiday-themed recipes. For example:
Sprite Cranberry Sparkle combines four cups of Sprite Cranberry with three cups of orange juice, one cup of pomegranate juice, ¼ cup of lemon juice, one teaspoon of nutmeg, one teaspoon of cinnamon and fresh or dried cranberries as a garnish. (makes two liters)

The new flavor will appear on store shelves nationwide for a limited time only, arriving in mid-October and available through the New Year. Sprite Cranberry and Sprite Zero Cranberry will be available in 2-liter bottles, Fridge Packs (12-ounce cans) and 20-ounce bottles (Sprite Cranberry only), and will be sold in mass market, convenience and drug stores nationwide.

finally tried this last night. it's…ok. first thing that surprised me was that it was CLEAR. used to Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash, I guess. speaking of which, it has a similar taste, though not as sweet. I suppose I would buy it occasionally, but I wouldn't look forward to it's release every year, like I do with Sierra Mist.

  9. I tried the sprite zero, cranberry and really liked it. I shared it with several people. Now I go back to the store to get more and there is absolutely none in my part of the county. I am very disappointed. I really hate it when I find something I like and then find out it was only a limited time. Why cant you just make it and leave it on the shelves?

  14. My family and I had the cranberry sprite for the past few months. We love it and have been looking for it since then, but can't find it. I wish Coke Cola would leave it on the shelves year around. It is so nice to have two of your favorite drinks mixed together and taste wonderful. Cranberry juice is good with anything. Please bring it back real soon.
