I had high hopes that 1893 by the makers of Pepsi – Original Cola would taste like Pepsi Natural, but no dice.
What we get instead is a beverage that is very Pepsi-ish flavor, but slightly less sweet, featuring a substantially cleaner aftertaste. The can advertises “aromatic bitters,” but I really couldn’t pick out anything unique. In the end, this seems like a marketing-driven product with not enough differentiation to be notable. An attempt to seem high-end, perhaps targeted at the mixer crowd. Buy when discounted.
