Review: Pepsi 1893 – Ginger Cola


I was hoping for the rebirth of a short-lived favorite from 2004, Pepsi Holiday Spice. But nope. At least 1893 by the makers of Pepsi – Ginger Cola tastes better than the Original Cola version.

Ginger Cola is a bit on the watery side, but still a nice take. I wish we’d see more cola/ginger combos in the market. It’s a nice change of pace. The slight burn compliments the cola flavor nicely.

Carbonated water, sugar, caramel color, natural flavor, phosphoric acid, sodium citrate, caffeine, potassium sorbate (preserves freshness), modified food starch, kola nut extract, ginger oleoresin.

A 12 oz can contains 150 calories, 55 mg sodium, and 40 g carbs (39 sugars). Caffeine content is 3.2 mg/oz.
