Squirt Citrus Power is a enjoyable citrus soda/energy drink hybrid. The increase in caffeine, addition of taurine and B vitamins, and unique grapefruit taste make this a nice addition to the market. The familiarity of the brand and intentional courting of the casual beverage fan could be very positive for this flavor extension.

Take the flavor experience of a root beer float and bottle it. That’s what A&W Float soda attempts to pull off. It’s an interesting innovation idea… and one that comes close, but misses. While it does use sugar and skim milk, the resulting taste is so artificial that you shouldn’t even bother. Great idea, horrible execution.

This beverage review takes a look at Sundrop, a citrus-flavored soda from Cadbury Schweppes. Similar in color, smell, and taste as Pepsi’s Mountain Dew or Coke’s Vault, it’s highlighted by the inclusion of actual orange juice, a snappier flavor, and a pretty high dose of caffeine. Good luck finding it, however. It’s highly regional!

This beverage review of Sunkist notes that it’s one of the few orange sodas that actually contains caffeine, in contrast to such other popular options such as Fanta Orange, Tropicana Twister Soda Orange, and Orange Crush. And frankly, it’s better than those.
