Trader Joe's Vintage Root Beer is a bit weak when it comes to flavor. When you have cane sugar on your side, why not totally be awesome? Instead, this is a passively-flavored root beer drink, despite having an ingredient list with recognizable items such as wintergreen birch, anise, and sassafras. Clean, but uneventful.

If you can find Trader Joe's Vintage Cola at an affordable price, it's a good way to enjoy a cane sugar-sweetened beverage. This beverage provides a cola flavor on par with what you'd expect from a store brand, but at least it's very clean and tasty! Thumbs up on the packaging design as well!

Pepsi Cherry Vanilla is like a sandwich, with a weaker cherry flavor surrounded by two powerful slices of vanilla. The flavor is smooth and predictable, referencing the Pepsi Vanilla days. The package design is spectacular, which is a shame given that this is a limited-time offering. Still, it's worth diversifying your taste experience while you have a chance!

We give a thumbs up to Cherry Crush. Smart packaging, nice color, and best of all, a pretty tasty & unique cherry beverage from a mainstream beverage brand. It's a nice addition to the Crush lineup!

Mountain Dew Typhoon is the most commercially viable of the DEWmocracy 2 flavors… if it wasn't colored red and easily confused with Dew Code Red. The edgy, fruit punch quality delivers a distinctive pineapple-infused taste that currently is not found in the Dew lineup. We still prefer Mountain Dew White Out among the 3 flavors, but Typhoon has the most sales potential.

Mountain Dew White Out is not awesome. But it's not too bad either. The soapy dishwater-colored flavor is light, citrusy, and mellow… but those characteristics are probably what will lead to its demise. Think of a combination of Squirt, Mello Yello, and perhaps a sugar-infused Fresca with caffeine. However, as a DEWmocracy 2 flavor, White Out is just not unique enough to be considered something that the marketplace will support alongside the other Mtn Dew options. It's safe. It's bland. It's underwhelming.

Mountain Dew Distortion is 1 of 3 flavors that are part of the DEWmocracy 2 campaign. We feel it's the least tasty of the 3, possessing a very fake, syrupy flavor that probably can best be described as melted lime Jell-O that just happens to be carbonated… however, if you are a Green River fan, you may be surprised!

An overview of DEWmocracy 2, the second installment of Mountain Dew's campaign to discover the next flavor. This time around, we're presented with Mountain Dew Distortion, Mountain Dew Typhoon, and Mountain Dew White Out. We explain the differences between this program and the previous DEWmocracy campaign which gave us Mountain Dew Voltage.

Drinking Sprite Green is like experiencing a gruesome amusement park ride of flavor doom! The aftertaste is the culprit, sneaking up on you with a non-food flavor, almost like you accidentally swallowed hair spray. Given that this drink has a stevia-powered aftertaste, maybe I wasn't expecting exactly what my mouth was saying… which was pretty much, "what did you just do to me?"
