For those in the Chicago area, I wanted to let you know that your editor here at BevReview.com, Steve Tanner (that's me!), will be speaking at networking/education event this Thursday night, November 19… and you are invited! Anyway, the topic of my presentation? "Social Media vs. Corporate America: A Monster-ous Case Study", recapping our recent fun with that whole "Monster Energy vs. BevReview.com" thing.

Some lawyers representing Monster Energy apparently don't like our review, and they were kind enough to send us some e-mail to let us know. Read about all the legal fuss and the joy of being a beverage reviewer!

Guest reviewer George Tsakiridis notes, "the Pomegranate flavor contains a slightly sweet finish that may take a bit of getting used to." Sweetened with cane sugar, this light drink has a "flowery" taste and is not overly powerful, but still a nice niche experience.

Guest reviewer George Tsakiridis notes, "the Kiwi Strawberry flavor is solid, and a nice fruit drink, but didn't overwhelm me." With cane sugar and fruits from 4 different continents, this light drink is refreshing, with an emphasis on strawberry over the kiwi flavor.

Guest reviewer George Tsakiridis notes, "I would buy Hansen's Natural Cherry Vanilla Creme Soda again in a heartbeat!" Just like our experiences with Hansen's Natural Creamy Root Beer Soda and Hansen's Natural Mandarin Lime Soda, Hansen's seems to have another flavor success on their hands.

The folks at Hansen's have rolled out a new line of drinks which they describe as a "refreshing taste of fresh fruit and real cane sugar lightened with the perfect amount of bubbles." As part of this Sparkling Sleek line, we tried Hansen's Natural Sparkling Sleek Pomegranate Green Tea. The flavor contained a sense of light, bubblyness, accented by just a bit of cherryish flavor. Overall, it created a pleasant taste experience and something far different from the norm.

The folks at Hansen's have rolled out a new line of drinks which they describe as a "refreshing taste of fresh fruit and real cane sugar lightened with the perfect amount of bubbles." As part of this Sparkling Sleek line, we tried Hansen's Natural Sparkling Sleek Valencia Orange. Overall, while I'm not a die-hard sparking water drinker, the beverage provided a nice change of pace. It was light, but flavorful, and the carbonation was just about right. I'd probably try it again.

Hansen's Natural Creamy Root Beer Soda smells and tastes like… well, root beer! Nothing too crazy or bold. It was much better than some other root beer flavors we've tasted, such as Route Beer 66, but not quite as good as other cane sugar-sweetened versions we've had, such as Boylan Bottleworks Root Beer. If you need 160 calories of root beer goodness that's sweetened with something other than high fructose corn syrup, give Hansen's a shot!

I really liked Hansen's Mandarin Lime Natural Soda. It's probably what Sierra Mist Undercover Orange SHOULD have tasted like… a lemon-lime soda with a hint of orange!
