Tropicana Pure Valencia is a high-end orange juice made with 100% Valencia oranges. What that means is that this drink is both very tasty and very expensive. But I will admit that the branding lives up to the hype. This is some fine orange juice. Nice job, Tropicana!

Sierra Mist Undercover Orange is a creative limited edition that provides an orange flavor within a clear soft drink, much like Sprite Remix. The mandarin orange taste is considerably different from other orange sodas, though suffers from some of the negatives associated with HFCS and Sierra Mist in general. It’s a clever tie-in to the movie Get Smart and provides a much needed orange flavor to PepsiCo’s lineup.

Full Throttle Fury is a decent-tasting, orange-flavored energy drink. It’s superior in many ways to Coke’s original Full Throttle. Only the confusing packaging really hurts the beverage overall.

Thanks to an image sighting associated with the “Pepsi Stuff” loyalty program, the rumors regarding Sierra Mist Undercover Orange may be confirmed. This mandarin orange-flavored drink appears to be clear in nature, which is rather interesting. It may be tied to an upcoming movie promotion. Would you drink a clear orange soda?

If the orange-flavored Mountain Dew LiveWire ever became an energy drink, it would look and taste a lot like Amp Energy Relaunch. Sporting an increase in sodium to better “revive” you like a sports drink, the flavor wasn’t too bad. It was mild, not too artificial, and compared to other energy drinks on the market, didn’t taste gross.

From the beverage rumor mill… PepsiCo is looking to roll out a couple of flavor extensions to its Amp Energy Drink, including Grape and Orange. Possible launch date would be March. With Amp’s NASCAR sponsorship and Super Bowl commercial, it looks like this brand is really shooting for growth in 2008.

This beverage review of Sunkist notes that it’s one of the few orange sodas that actually contains caffeine, in contrast to such other popular options such as Fanta Orange, Tropicana Twister Soda Orange, and Orange Crush. And frankly, it’s better than those.

What’s wrong with a beverage review where you note that “the packaging has somewhat of a goofy logo, though I must admit that I really liked the contrasting orange/blue color scheme”? Yeah, the drink is an afterthought.
