Pepsi Cherry Vanilla is like a sandwich, with a weaker cherry flavor surrounded by two powerful slices of vanilla. The flavor is smooth and predictable, referencing the Pepsi Vanilla days. Pepsi Max Cease Fire had the possibility to expand the Pepsi Max line with a nice lime-inspired flavor. However, the result is underwhelming, with a drink that doesn't go far enough in creating a difference from the flagship. Additionally, the "companion" chips available in the Doritos Burn lineup offer plenty of heat, but their flames are in no way quenched by the addition of Cease Fire.
