Sierra Mist Undercover Orange is a creative limited edition that provides an orange flavor within a clear soft drink, much like Sprite Remix. The mandarin orange taste is considerably different from other orange sodas, though suffers from some of the negatives associated with HFCS and Sierra Mist in general. It’s a clever tie-in to the movie Get Smart and provides a much needed orange flavor to PepsiCo’s lineup.

From the rumor mill… a recent trademark filing indicates that a new mojito-inspired flavor of Sierra Mist may be in the works, under the name Sierra Mist Mojito Splash (and Sierra Mist Free Mojito Splash). You may recall that Jones Soda has had some success with limited edition mojito soft drinks, so there might be some merit to this filing.

Back in November 2004, Pepsi announced that they were following Coke’s footsteps in renaming their diet lemon lime product. Whereas Coke changed Diet Sprite to Diet Sprite Zero, Pepsi morphed Diet Sierra Mist into Sierra Mist Free. Apparently, the word “diet” is evil these days.
